Recently one of my followers mentioned that although she was interested in Triberr.com, she didn’t feel she understood it enough to maneuver it and utilize it to her benefit. Well in response to that comment, I thought I’d give some pointers about using Triberr to benefit you and help you spread the word.
First – get connected. This means sign up and then start checking out different Tribes.
Once you’re signed up and have your profile established, click on BONFIRES at the top of the site. Under Bonfires, you’ll find everything you need from support threads to Tribes looking for Tribemates and Tribemates looking for Tribes. Along the right side, look for TRIBE UPS, if you’re looking for Tribes to join and LOOKING FOR TRIBES, if you’ve got a Tribe you’re trying to expand. Once you’re here, simply peruse the thread and seek out Tribes related to your blog or the site you’re promoting.
Two – don’t be afraid to reach out to others on Triberr. I’ve found that the folks who join Triberr are, for the most part, the most sharing, and friendly folks on the Internet. Ask to join a Tribe, the worst that can happen is that Tribe doesn’t accept you. How often will that happen? In my experience, not very often.
Three – if you’re enterprising enough and don’t mind getting involved with the occasional squabble among Tribemates, or the occasional whiner, feel free to set up your own Tribe and then put it out there in a thread under BONFIRES that you’re looking to expand your Tribe. Each one of us has the opportunity to be the chief of our Tribe.
Four – once you join a Tribe, share! Even if you don’t have time to read every post, it only takes a swipe of your cursor to share a post. The more you share, the more Tribemates will share your posts in return. It’s what Triberr is about. And try to do it at least once a day. I visit Triberr at least three times over the course of a day.
Five – if you want more exposure, feel free to purchase a plan that will push your posts to the top of the Stream, allow you to join more tribes, and be the chief of more Tribes of your own. There is power in being in charge.
Six – if ever you have a problem, the support team at Triberr.com is the most awesome on the web. If ever something isn’t working correctly, your posts aren’t being pulled into the Stream, or any other problem is plaguing your acct, feel free to check out the Support Bonfires. You can find them easily by clicking on HELP under Account, and then CONTACT US. There you’ll find the link to the BONFIRES FORUM where you can post your problem or perhaps find others who are having the same trouble. If no one else seems to being having the same trouble shooting problem, simply post your problem and then copy the URL for your post and Tweet it on Twitter tagging Dan Cristo at @dancristo. You’d be surprised how fast these guys act on things if they know there’s a problem or you can shoot an email to support@triberr.com

Eight – have fun, get involved, explore the site, check out the Campaigns for opportunities to earn some cash, and feel free to chat with folks. It’s all about connecting.
